I just thought I'd start a little Tomlinson family blog with all my spare time!!! Of course that was total sarcasm so this might end up the first and last time I ever add to this page. But, it seems that when there is news to share this would be an easy way to keep everyone updated.
We are having a busy but fun summer. I thought not having Amelia in school might allow us to all slow down a little bit. But, you know how that goes. Now it's just different things that make us busy.
We are just finishing four LONG days of Vacation Bible School. I was a tribal leader for the Tribe of Zebulun. I had seven 3-5 year olds in my group as we rotated around the marketplace transformed to 29 A.D. I think Amelia really learned a lot and was especially captured by the dramas that broke out in the marketplace. She talked a lot afterwards about the tax collector that gave all the money back to the people and the man who got mud on his eyes and then could see again. I really enjoyed getting to spend that time with Amelia. The boys aren't quite old enough to participate but did surprisingly well in the nursery for six hours! Saturday they got to stay home with Jason. We go today to pick up all the things Amelia made in the marketplace and attend the closing ceremony. It was fun but I'm not complaining that it's over!
Owen is nine months old now and all over the place. I have never seen such a busy boy. I have to use all my strength to pin him down for a diaper change. He pulls up on everything and then gets frustrated that he can't go anywhere from there. He just wants to keep up with his brother and sister. I love watching the older two find ways to play with Owen. One day recently I walked in and he was trapped inside a wall of toys. Lane was covering him up with his blanket and they were both just belly laughing.
I had a few other things to mention but that will have to be on another day. Owen is awake and we are off to Walmart.
