O.K, so Amelia's arm IS broken. I guess this is why you go to the orthopedic even when the ER tells you it's just sprained. And I was hoping to avoid the $40 co-pay. Kidding.
So this is three times in her four years. Nice. This time she wanted to change it up a little. She has had a pink cast the last two times. This time she picked green with black stripes. I know, I should have let her do whatever she wanted. It's just a cast. But I really didn't want to look at a fluorescent green and black cast for the next month. I was pushing for green and blue. We have clothes that would go with that:) She came up with orange and blue and it was a compromise!
After over a month of being on a waiting list, Lane finally started speech today! His evaluation showed Apraxia of Speech, which is a processing issue dealing with the sequencing of the sounds in words. In other words, he can form the sound with his mouth, but when he goes to make words, the sounds get all mixed up and come out unintelligible. He loved his therapy. To him, it is basically playing with new toys. He doesn't realize it is therapy. Hopefully we can get this straightened out a bit before he goes to school in a few years.
This is one of my favorite things. Whenever you give Owen this blanket, he grasps it in this very specific way and puts his thumb in his mouth. It is so cute. He only sucks his thumb when he's going to sleep but for some reason whenever you give him the dog blankie, he knows it's time and starts sucking his thumb. I have had one passy child, one that didn't take a passy or a thumb, and now Owen, my thumb sucker. I know long term this is harder but right now I love it. It's cute and I don't have to keep up with the passies.

You know, eventually someone is going to start looking into all these broken arm "accidents."
I can't BELIEVE she broke it AGAIN.
So glad your visit to ortho wasn't for naught! So nice to meet you last week. Magnolia is still talking about 'Melia'.
Ciao, Julie Anne
