Halloween Preview

Tonight we went trick-or-treating at our pediatricians office and then headed over to the Lakewood Ranch Boo fest. I am all for having more than one occasion to wear these costumes that we spent good money for. Of course, it was raining. That made the night a little shorter than it would have been otherwise but it didn't dampen the kids spirits. All they care about is the big bag of candy they now have.

As you can see, we have Superman and Wonder Woman, quite the
duo. I was just so happy that Lane put on a costume this year. If you remember last year, he was not having any part of that. I think it is hysterical that my kids are so excited to be Superman and WonderWoman when they have absolutely no idea who they are. None. They have never seen a movie, a cartoon, a comic book, not a thing. Somehow, they innately know what a super hero is and that it is definitely cool.

Pictured here are Lane and Owen with friend Ella. Jason, Cliff, and Owen were sitting inside the Starbucks, not so thrilled with the prospect of trick-or-treating in the rain. Notice the cute trick or treat bag Amelia is carrying.
This was a fun package we received in the mail yesterday. My blog friend Amanda made the bag herself and added some cute Halloween T's for the boys. I love fun trips to the mailbox! She was a very stylish Wonder Woman.

I couldn't leave out sweet Owen. He is wearing Amelia's old monkey costume which I'm sure Lane also wore. I couldn't rationalize getting him a super hero costume to go along with our theme because on Halloween night he'll be asleep before the fun even begins.
This is probably a more accurate shot of how he felt about being in this costume. We only made him stay in it for a few minutes, long enough to snap a few photos.
