I hate it when people do nice things with not so nice motives. We were at CiCi's Pizza this afternoon (I only eat at the finest restaurants!) eating an early dinner. As dinner was over, I noticed that my kids had not taken two sips of their 2 dollar Cokes so I went up to ask for To-Go cups. She told me that it would cost 50 cents for each To-Go cup. I replied with something like,"You're kidding me? My kids haven't even taken two sips out of their drinks that we've already paid for". I was slightly annoyed but nothing major and I wasn't rude in the slightest. Well apparently an on-looker decided to make my business his business because moments later the man that was standing beside me came up to my table and put down two To-Go cups. Nice, huh? Well get this! This is what he said, "I saw that $1.00 was really a stretch for you so I went ahead and got these for you." It took me a minute for that to sink in as Amelia had just spilled her entire (minus two sips) beverage. When I did, I just wanted to scream at him. It wasn't about the dollar, Mister! It was the principle. I had just paid $4.00 for drinks that we had not consumed. Plus, I had three kids in a restaurant by myself. Going back to my table, getting my credit card (because I never have cash) for a purchase of a DOLLAR was not happening! I was fuming. I wish I had something clever to say when his sarcastic self approached my table. I do not think he has ever taken three children out to dinner or surely he would have known it had nothing to do with the money.
Next story of a not-so-nice guy. I'll leave out the boring details but let's just say we once again got caught in the torrential rain while at Downtown Disney. It literally looked like we jumped in the pool with our clothes on. Of course I had on white shorts. That's only fitting. So we've made it back to the self parking lot which is about a mile from our room. I am sure this is why they can get away with charging 2o dollars a day for valet which was sounding pretty good to me at that moment. If we had not already gotten soaked I may have sprung for it (probably not) but at this point it would not have really accomplished much. I roamed up and down the isles for at least 20 minutes looking for a parking spot when I finally notice one very, very, close parking spot. This would be too good to be true. We actually wouldn't get THAT wet. Some lady in her SAAB, by herself, NOT elderly, with NO SCREAMING CHILDREN went around the other way and zoomed in my spot seconds before I could get there. I just started laughing. I hope she enjoys staying dry and I hope she watches me running in from seven rows back with my three children!
Tomorrow Jason has no work responsibilities. Hooray!

Welcome to Central FL. For more of that lovely Southern charm, head to the Florida Mall. Mt Dora is as far south as I can stand until you make it down to Polk county.
