Not Broken

Amelia's arm is not broken. I guess it is just a bad sprain or something. I mentioned that she has broken her arm two times before. Well let me tell you, I'll take the break over this any day. When she broke her arm, she cried for a very short period of time and then stopped using her arm. Both times, the only reason we even took her in was because she was favoring her arm. The first time (awesome parent award) we didn't take her in for a full week. Anyway, my point is there was very little discomfort on her part. When she got it casted she went on full speed ahead like nothing ever happened. This sprain, however, is a completely different story. We have barely been able to get her to stop crying since it happened last night. She is on Tylenol with Codeine and Motrin to no avail. It is very sad for her and very draining for Jason and I. We have an appointment with the orthopedic on Friday morning. I don't really know why we're even going. I mean, if it's sprained there's really nothing else to do. The ER recommended it but maybe they just have to do that. Possibly if we can get her to stop crying by then we won't end up going. I'll keep you updated.
