Most of you know that the kids and I live a double life-one way when Daddy is in town and another when Daddy is out of town. For instance, this morning I went to set the kids cereal bowls down on the table and realized I actually couldn't do that until I removed the dinner plates from the night before. That would NEVER happen when Jason was in town. Those of you who might be Tomlinsons reading this are probable gasping in horror because that is where Jason gets his neatness from. This double life actually does wonders for my marriage because it develops a deep appreciation for the order that Jason brings to my life. I mean one night of disarray is freeing but any more than that leaves me longing for some discipline and organization. Plus, I'd never be able to eat chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese for too many nights in a row. Tonight it's back to a real meal on the table. I can honestly say Jason makes me a better person!
O.K, so I started this blog just to keep everyone up to date on our family. I never once claimed I could entertain you. But, I do know someone who can. If you would like to die laughing at "a day in the life of a stay at home mom" stories, please visit my friend Alison's blog. I just asked her to start it because she is the funniest person I know. I have known her longer than anyone else in my life. We went to preschool together. Her outlook on life will have you in stiches. I put her on my list of Blog Friends at the bottom right of my blog. Check her out!
