A Deep Question

While driving to school one morning:
"Mommy, how does Jesus live in all our hearts? Cause there is only one Jesus."

If only she knew how profound that statement was. Yes, there is only one Jesus.

"I am THE way and THE truth and THE life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6, emphasis added

So, I didn't go into much depth answering her question, as the Holy Spirit is difficult for an adult to understand, much less a four year old. But I gave her the four year old version. She totally seemed to get it. I am continually amazed as her questions and comments are already seeking out who God is.

"You however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." Romans 8:9-11
